State Rep. Ann Bollin (R-Brighton Township), House Appropriations Chair, today released the following statement after Michigan Auditor General Doug Ringler announced plans to retire in spring 2027:
“I have always believed that transparency and independent oversight make government better, which is why I have placed such a high value on the work of the Auditor General’s Office. Doug Ringler has been a trusted, nonpartisan voice who was never afraid to flag problems and give legislators the facts we needed to demand accountability and improve how state government operates. I sincerely appreciate his service to Michigan and wish him well in retirement.”
